The OXPECKERS

These beauties were sighted almost everywhere in Kenya on their natural perches .....giraffes, buffalos, gnus , zebras, etc. You find the animal ...you get this bird !! Was amazed to see the beauty of these small birds from the camera viewfinder .
Hope you like this presentation on the most 'natural ' perch I could find for this bird :).

Nice species and excellent sharpness on the back bird. I do find the fact that the front bird is OOF distracting. My eye is drawn to it first as it is closer.

Hey Tom . Totally agree with your critique. Ideally I too would have loved thar . I was already shooting at f8 for the same reason .But I was too near this one and hence the thin DOF. Higher ISO would have got me a noiser BG , as it was a dark BG.
