great calling pose Sidharth, nice and sharp. Not sure about the OOF branch in the upper left corner.

Nice pose and BG. I wish the twig with the leaves was attached to the perch but getting rid of it will further weaken the image IMHO.

I would personally get rid of the branch in ULC, and perhaps the shadow on the tail too. The pose, perch, BG all look great. I also like the vertical comp. Very nice.

Another vote for what Daniel said. Very nice singing pose, and the light is sweet.

Thanks all for the feedback. It's been instructive.
I do have some in the same pose without the oof branch, but they looked too clean and boring to me. I will process on of those.
Thanks again!

Agree with the above. I like the leafed branch, gives dimension to me. I think the smaller branch of the perch is distracting, but looks like it would be very hard to eliminate. Was this taken locally?

Thanks Mack. Yes, this was taken locally. This was my first year to see and photography PBs in Austin; although the location they were nesting is now gone thanks to new construction.
Although, it's funny how this works - after you find the first one, you start finding the others of the species a lot more easily. Awaiting their return next year.
