This is a number of frames prior to yesterday's post, showing the adult with his clam (I think it's a clam) prior to extracting the morsel and handing it to Junior. I reduced the contrast a bit to try and mitigate the harsh light. I also desaturated the reds on the amazing bill, but it still pops in the bright sun. C&C appreciated.

Very nice moment captured. Nice timing. I like the processing better than on the previous post.
I would also suggest adding a bit more room at the bottom and maybe to the left.

Processing looks excellent Bill. Very sharp, bg fades away nicely and I like the little wave coming in.

Nice details, and good job with the exposure. I agree with more room below and perhaps less above. I'd actually add back a bit of saturation to the bill, or perhaps just making the red more vivid by reducing the cyan in it.

You have a nice story here but wish the light hadn't been so harsh.

Thank you all for your feedback. I'll go back to the master file and add a slivver on the bottom, and take another look at the bill. Yes, Marina and others, I also would have liked a softer light.

Bill, lovely low perspective, and his catch a bonus. Well done on the overrall exposure on the OC, with good feather detail. I feel you may have desaturated the bill a touch too much. When dealing with bright reds, I only desat about 7-9 points, it reduces the blinkies, but still keeps the reds normal. :w3

Thanks Stuart. I agree about the bill. I think I overreacted after comments on my prior OC post.

nice story, color, detail. the red does look a little off to me and appears to have been sharpened just a tad too much imho.
