Shot this one looking into the sunrise as the morning fog was starting to burn off. I really liked the golden colors. Chose this comp because I liked how the bush on the left balanced out the subject and both were tied together by the beams of sun on the ground. 7D, 700mm, f6.3, 1/1000s, ISO 640, +2/3 EC, HH from vehicle, cropped a bit off right side (as viewed).

Steve, lots to like about this shot. The pronghorns shape is nicely accentuated by the highlights on the fur, and horns. Good dof choice, and very nice complimentary BG. Also like the attentive pose of the animal, and good detail in the eyes. I wouldnt change anything.

Lovely mood and setting indeed Steve, gotta love that time of day for photographing wildlife. I am a sucker for contrast so if this were mine I would give it a slight contrast boost, perhaps a bit of LCE (unsharp mask, 20%, 20px) and see how it comes out?

Hi Steve, certainly shot in sweet light and I like the position in frame. Agree with Morkel about adding some contrast, or perhaps some linear Curves. Just needs a hint more to define the image.

I think the lower contrast actually adds to the mood of the photo. It puts me there in that morning. I'd leave it alone.

Thanks for the look Danny and the good laugh :bg3:. If I ever make up a website, I may have to use that!

Great shot Steve. I love the light's reflection off of his side.
I see where Morkel is coming from and Sarah with the mood. I thought about what is would look like with the greens boosted just a bit to give some different color. The pronghorn almost blends into the background. It's a great shot whatever you do!
