Congratulations Jay Gould for your image " Kaikoura, New Zealand Waterfront-repost " being chosen as the Landscape Image of the Week for the week ending 7/15/2011!!!

An amazing 18 day workshop was drawing to a close; Kaikoura was our final photography destination. Waiting on waterfront and watching the setting sun create some heavenly magic, I shot several images as I moved around and worked on various compositions. I am finding Landscape photography a wonderful challenge. I will be posting two images from this location; this image and the next one that I will post for your comparison opinions.

This is such a lovely, well-balanced image, in terms of composition, action and light. The turbulence of the water is mirrored by the sky, and the boat in the midst of this lively scene is just right. Processed just right, as well. Kudos, Jay!

I like it Jay. Well deserved. Love the far boat for an anchor to draw the eye.
