These two males battled it out at the rookery in Tampa Bay last week aboard the "Hooptie Deux".

Love the action you captured in this image Susan. The water droplets are a lovely bonus as well. Looks like you had a wonderful time aboard the Hooptie Deux. Look forward to your future posts.

Susan:
Nice image. I have been waiting to see your 'fox' come up since we met at Ding about 3 weeks ago. I guess I need to go with James if I want to get some fine Spoonie shots.

Ah, Mike, you are too, too kind. Good job of capturing the action and a good exposure. One fair head angle and one very poor one (the upper bird). Light fairly harsh and the proximal mangrove BKFR is less than ideal. I do like the drops.

Great capture of the action, and I like the flying water off the feet! The light was a little bright, but you positioned yourself well so that you had direct frontal lighting on your subjects. I wish the top bird had turned his head toward you instead of away. Still, a nice action image.

I know how fast situations like these come. With that said I think you did the best you could. There is no time to move or wait for a head turn. I think you did an excellent work keeping both in focus.

Thanks, Max and the rest of you. Artie, you are so cruel.

You did a fine job with this image, Susan. Seperation between your subject and background would make a world of difference, but believe me, I know that location well and I know that's not always possible. I really like the interaction and the water drops are definitely a plus.
