Oh dude that was such a smart move to go back!!! I'll be thinking about this when I'm trying to decide whether to go back to something. This is a very sweet shot and with all the movement, everything is still tack sharp. The sand flying around the nestlings is what really brings this one home. A few distractions on the right that will bother some viewers but I don't mess with that stuff and wouldn't concern myself other than to bring the crop in a hair on that side to negate the edge of that cavity. Love this one!

Wonderful image Jonathan!!

I took some barn swallow images yesterday when they were also being fed. Unfortunately their nest is under an over hang of a bridge. Too much shade but certainly it was a thrill to photograph and witness the behavior.

I really love this one as well!!! :S3:

You did good

Super image Jon, love the sand
no evidence of noise on the pic; I was wondering how you find your 7D RE noise.
ISO 640 is quite high, probably got the exposure spot on, correct?

Noise not a problem - just ensure fully exposed - same applies to the 50D.
