Another one from my recent trip. These guys move around quickly on the ground looking for food.

7d, 500mm HH, 1/3200 @ 4, ISO 400. I should have gone for more DOF I certainly had the SS.

The BG color is beautiful. You have already identified the issue of DOF.Nice low angle. The face is tack sharp and I like the dead vegetation to the right of the bird. I might take a bit more off the bottom.
