One from last year, shot shortly after a rain shower. This is actually several images merged together with Helicon Focus for DOF. RAW images processed in LR, merged in Helicon Focus, then tweaked regionally with Viveza in PS. Shot with the 100-400, 340mm, f/8 @ 1/640.

Hi John...another lovely image....loving the water droplets and the center glow. I might crop a bit off the RHS.....not sure about the bottom long stem...it does pull the image elements together but also seems to me to be a distraction....possibly you could tone it down some

The colors are absolutely stunning and I am kinda with Bob on the stem while I do not hate it and really do not find it a distraction I think the image would be even stronger with out it.

Hey John,
VG observations by Bob and Don above! I think toning down the stem a bunch......will go a long way. The sharpness is great with the focus stack! I think just the tone down will make this shine!

I toned down the stem, bringing the color and tone more in line with that of the pads. Thank you for the comments and suggestions!

Hey John,
I'll admit that I may prefer this w/o it.....but dang....you did a great job with the suggestions and IMO......it works great! Go a few points more with the stem below the flower....only the stem in the reflection...and you''ll blast it out of the park!

Thank you for the comments and suggestions. Roman I tweaked the stem a bit more...through the reflection as you suggested...using a curve to darken the selection. Closer to what you had in mind?

Hi John. I love the glowing colors of the flower and it was a great idea to use a focus stack on this. The stem doesn't bother me and I think your 2nd repost pretty well hits this one out of the park!!
