Hi,here is a deer from last year, I reviewed my older photo's and came up with this one. I hope you like it. I have just one request is this one to sharp or not.....I,m not sure about it. I hope you can help me out.

What a magnificent animal Willem! Well exposed but I think it is a little too sharp. Great pose.

Great pose and placement on the BG. No problems with sharpness, as Jack said may even be a touch over sharpened (matter of personal preference)

Thanks Jack and Steve fot the reply's. I find it sometimes difficult to determine when the sharpening is good and when it's over done. Normally the sharpening is too much when feathers or fur are a kind of sparkle but he was very busy that time with running and burlen ( i don't no the englisch term) so he was a little sweaty at that time. So please give your opinion on this one please.

You are correct that if you get glistening artifacts in fur and feathers - that is over-sharpening as is extensive haloing. Though you might be on the verge of over-sharpening here, I think if you lowered the opacity a bit on the layer you do sharpening on, that would do it, as would just a bit less aggressive settings.

Great scene with the head-on look of the this bellowing giant.

Okee Robert thank you for your explanation on this subject. I find it every time difficult to find the just amount of sharpening but I will get there sometimes let us hope it will be soon. Thanks again for the reaction.

ps: I've tried this way for sharpening on my last pictures and I think this is the best way for me so far no halo's and that sort of things..
