I like the pose, sharpness and the BG.
It is noisy, it seems you could cut the iso way down by using a slower SS to achieve the same result.
1/4000 is not really necessary for a sharp photo in a large bird.
A smaller aperture with a much slower SS and a lot smaller iso would work better for me.

Excellent pose...I love the reverse 'S' line from wingtip to wingtip. Good exposure. I'd tone down a few of the lighter patches in the BG. I also think a bit more canvas top and bottom could be good as thefull wingspread seems cramped in the frame. Another option would be a vertical comp. I agree you could have lowered the ISO, but the result seems OK for web.

Ok Dankearl
what you wrote is right ..but I used 1/400 because the eagle is coming and then it will go down very quikly to catch a fish ...so I was ok for the next shoot

Like the placement of the subject. Very nice wing position as well.

Lovely pose! Another vote for a vertical.
Thanks again.
I tried as vertical ..but it is a large portrait ..s now,,with space in front the eagle is flying and it is, for me, more dinamic.

Giovanni, splendid shot. excellent angle and frozen pose. It shows the might of the eagle. I like the crop as presented. If mine, I'd try a small boost in color sat.
