Another outstanding image, Carel - you're making this look easy (and I know that it's not)! I love the soft natural light. The bee is posing nicely on an interesting perch, and you have excellent DOF, a nice comp, and a good background. Very well done, as usual.

Wow! What a crystal clear image! Carel your images always inspire me. The light, bkgr, and sharpness are top notch.

Carel, this is a really nice image; the only thing I would have done is perhaps clone out the wisp of a web in the lower left corner of the image...for some reason that caught my eye. Great background, wonderful composition...nice capture!

I like the BG, the perch and the detail in the bee. Very nice job! TFS

Hey Carel,
Bees are definitely not the easiest and you have another winner here! Outstanding all around!

I tried to get this same type of image the other day with little success - you DO make it look easy! Very nice focus...you really captured all the details to the max and I found myself wrapped up in looking at every one of them.

Thank you all for the comments.
For me it is not difficult to make when you know how a thing works.
I use live view, it is easy to compose, and also for exposure to it is easy.
I make almost always full frame images.
This is full frame and made with live view, of course, with a cable release.
