This was taken pre-dawn, so I wanted to preserve the low light. This is an in-camera crop as I was looking for a more "in your face" perspective. PP started with Simplify to reduce clutter, some Tonal Contrast for texture, NIK's graduated density filter, and Something called Old Photo (NIK) at 25% opacity. Let me know what you think.

Hey Jay,
I think the in your face comp works here very well. Nice placement of the wheel center in a ROT position! Originally I wanted to see this bolder....accentuating the rust.....but this has a nice dark mood to it.....which also works very well! Very nicely done!

Hi Jay;

That's a serious step back in time...I wonder who rode in the wagon that was originally attached to, and where there life's journey took them. I'd like to see the red in the wood "pop" just a smidgen more...and maybe darken the leaf just beneath the spoke by the same smidgen...but I'm really nitpicking when I say that. Wonderful image!

Roman, Funny, I had this super bold at the onset................then cutback for mood and may have lost something. But, you make a good point re the rust.................try this repost

John, thanks............will try the red boost in the RP, see what you think.

Hi Jay,
I like how you composed the wheel in the frame. Your choice and use of filters is nicely done. It gives the image sort of an old feel to it which I like and feel goes well with your subject. Nice job!

Hi Jay, repost is very nice, I love your framing of these old wheels. I wonder what they might look like if you grunged them up for an alternate version.:S3:

Super job Jay, I love the composition and the added color of the repost. These images have a real appeal to me, as I see them as "nature reclaims its own". What was once a plant was then a wheel, and now the plants and soil are taking the wheel back. Hope I'm not being too organic... :S3:

Thanks everyone. Great feedback.

Kerry, Thanks. Not too organic:S3:...................I wonder where these wheels have been and what stories, I wish they could tell.

Andrew, good idea........what do you use to create a Grunge look?
