Wow, we can probably end the image of the week contest now.
Great light, at first glance, I thought the sky was a bit over saturated, but it works with the dunes.
A great use of "thirds" also, FG, middle ground and sky are just right to me.
Excellent.

Hi, appears to be taken at nice low angle which gives a stronger appearance of the dune lines along with the beautiful light. As previously stated the comp is well divided with a dramatic western sky. IMO the blue of the sky works well and contrasts nicely with the balance of the scene.Good eye picking out this comp due to the emptiness of the area. Well done!

I agree with all the comments, but want to stress how I love the movement suggested by the foreground. It's like the sand is shimmering, and I love the color of it.

Hey Dale,
Perfect light for dunes.....really brings out the details. I also like the comp for the reasons mentioned. My only suggestion is to lighten the clouds at the top of the frame (really dark ones).....probably due to GND.....and perhaps eliminate the center one....if OK with such things. All in all a great shot!

Dale, this REALLY works for me - like it a lot. Agree with Roman suggestions.

Really cool foreground with sweet light. Agree with Roman on lightening the really dark clouds.
