Almost straight out of the camera....shot with Nikon D700 + 200/2 +1.4 TC at 1/2000 f8 3200 iso.

Thanks for looking, Giulio

Way cool pose but I am confused.... What does this mean?: 200/2. Confused also by the exposure data/ISO.... Looks like bright sun: sunny 16 would be 1/3200 sec. at f/16 at the most, more likely a bit darker with a light toned bird in full sun.... Or was is early morning side light???

Awesome pose, and I also like the perch and BG. Not crazy about the shadow on the face, but the wings and tail are nicely lit.

Great pose and excellent detail!
Agree with Dan about the shadows.

Would like to see the bird a bit higher in the frame.
This is a situation here centering the bird to emphasize the symmetry may work well.

Love the pose and great wing spread. Wings have nice detail and I like the bg too.

I assumed it was the Nikon 200mm f2 lens:

Outstanding pose of course. Would love to see a bigger version. I think a little boost of the saturation would make the image jump.

Guilio,

Great pose and background. Light angle is not optimal from the side. I prefer a bit more space at the bottom (and a bit less at the top).

excellent dynamic pose, image is a bit small to show the details but it looks sharp.

Hi Artie, 200/2 means 200mm f2. The exposure was set-up to get it landing, as they come in very fast. This was the next frame. It was taken in late afternoon. I repost it bigger, as requested.

Very nice...I love the pose and it really pops from the BG.

Guilio, you can bring the effect of the shadows down (lighten them) with a bit of dodge and burn.

what a nice shot. loved that wingspread. great colors and BG.

I also initially thought iso 3200 was a typo :-)
