Amazing clarity & details for such a small spider and magnification. I like the placement of the spider. I would be tempted to tone down the saturation a bit in the oof section in the lower front of the frame, since it might be somewhat distracting. But overall a great shot!

They are one of my favorite little spiders to find and photograph in the fields. I didn't know they could jump until one jumped on my glasses while I was trying to get better look at it..:eek:. The color and detail on this one is outstanding I enjoyed seeing it...Thanks!!

Hi Jason. Excellent view of this little spider and very good sharpness within the narrow DOF this lens gives you. The one thing that strikes me is all the flash-generated specular highlights - especially on the face and legs of the spider. This will be an issue with any insect/spider with a reflective exoskeleton. You could try cloning some of those (a lot of work), but ultimately, using effective diffusers on those flash heads will make a world of difference in your future photos. (I hope yesterday's PM helps.) :S3: Overall, this is very well done.
