This is a pretty heavy crop

Hi Noelle! IQ seems to have held up to the crop, and I love the proud stance and sweet light here. :5
Nice 3D feel and well done to keep the tree from obfuscating the subject - we often tend to not think about that when shooting. :bg3:

Thank you Morkel, this big fella had a group of at least 20 hinds with him. He snorted and they all ran into the woods obeying his command. It was very interesting to see.

Not getting the tree to obstruct the subject was pure luck :bg3: As he only gave me a few seconds to focus as he looked up.

Like the alert stance and the warm light.

The first thing I noticed was how this guy pops and what lovely light. It does look like a big crop though but nice work. Will you have a chance to get closer and shoot from a lower angle on another visit?

Fantastic stance on this stag, very arresting "look at me" pose. As others have said, the IQ has held up pretty well.

I tried a rework to remove the BG tree in this image, but once I looked at it I felt the OOF tree added, so very nice light and proud pose...Nice one Noelle

Alert & protective stance here Noelle. As you say a hefty crop, but you are conveying the message. I think the OOF tree does add context, but would like to see a bit more, might suggest cropping a fraction off the LHS so the tree has a straight edge to the frame?

Nice to see you posting here again, certainly isn't Central Park. :bg3:

Noelle - nice light, pose and I like the bg. Crop seems to have held up for posting.
