An unprocessed one from a few years back found while doing a long overdue purge of the hard drive. An impressive site when one unexpectedly crests the same hill as the one you're hiking on from the other side. 40D, 400DO, f.3, 1/320s, ISO 1600, -1/3 EC, monopod, vertical crop from horizontal (about 45% of original frame).

Lovely rack here Steve...nice pose and soft light too.
I am wondering if opening up the shadows a tad will lift this? Not viewing on my home monitor at the moment so hard to tell for sure...:e3

Hi Steve, I think it looks OK Morkel, can't beleive this was at ISO1600 with the 40D, amazing IQ.

The antlers look oversized for the body, they are massive, was really tempted Steve to add a red nose to him. :bg3:

Nice one.

Shadows looking ok on my cal monitor Morkel, nice pose on this fine specimen, just not sure if f/3 is right for this f/4 lens Steve?

Steve, great shot, good looking bull in velvet. Well done at ISO 1600 and well done with no processing.
