From my trip a couple of weeks ago to the remote "Red Desert" of SW Wyoming

We had storms around this morning providing dark skies.

I think you did a great job framing an interesting composition. The rocks have interesting lichen and you picked a good one for the immediate foreground. The way the rocks are positioned they almost walk the eye out to the rear of the scene. Nice dappled late light with full light on the crests. Just enough sky giving a nice contrast. This would probably also work as a vertical repositioning the camera and showing only one mountain with a similar foreground.,,,

Hey Dale,
Nice to see some new vantage points! I like the layers and the FG rocks but like Dave.....think that a vert w/o the RH butte may have made a stronger comp. Still very nice as presented!

I like the vertical suggestion but feel this presentation works well for the reasons mentioned. I would have preferred a bit more room on right so the butte's right slope was not truncated and middle ground rocks not clipped.
