In the Dordogne area of France I was lucky to see many sunflower fields. The problem one has in shooting them is trying to put them with something interesting. I passed up many fields due to nothing else with them or they were facing the wrong way.(they have a tendancy to face the sun) I admit the lighting could be a bit more dramatic but on a trip like this I couldn't plan where or when was the best time to be at a certain place since I rarely went back a second time.

Dave - there's a lot to like here - the sunflowers mostly facing the camera, the farm buildings and then the village slightly further back and on the cliffs, the castle. Interesting sky too. I might prefer a little more room on top if you have it, but I like it as presented too.

Like the image always difficult to compose with those sunflowers but you did good!

Hey Dave,
Always tough with fields! You did very well with the sunflowers and like Rachel, I may want just a bit more sky as it feels a bit tight on the castle. You know me...not much! Very well composed overall!

Lovely Beynac.
Nice exposure, I would crop right above the large FG flower and add sky at the top also.

I agree Dave, the sky is interesting so a bit more of it if you have it would be good.

Hi Dave, really like this one. The sunflowers are beautiful. Bet this would look cool with PB applied to it :S3:
