Playing around with the vari ND filter
Nikon D3s
16-35 mm
15 seconds f16 / with Vari Nd filter
Wish I had some foreground. From the preview I can see now I need some CCW rotation :e3

Hi Bob, rotation noted. I do like the pano look to this and don't really think you need any foreground interest here. I like it for its simplicity. I wonder if the sky might be a touch too blue though.

Sometimes simipler is better. I think this image is a prime example. Just straighten that horizon as you mentioned yourself. ;)

Hey Bob,
Yep....you caught the rotation! I like the play in color contrast! Works for me once you rotate it! I love the VAri ND and this is an excellent example of one of it's best uses!

This works for me.
Minimalist, I think you have just enough foreground, I like the 3 layers, I would like to see maybe a bit more vertical for the pano.
I don't think the sky is too blue, it is kind of an abstract photo anyway, I would like a bit more sky.

Simplicity works. It's almost like a watercolor. Interesting yellow to the sand. Nicely done.

Hi Bob, Putting the CCW rotation aside you have created a strong image that is simple yet well divided. The image lends itself well to having rich color that creates a strong contrast throughout. The Vari worked nicely creating the water's pleasing softness.
