This was one of 3 Hyenas checking out a lion kill about 50m away. Lion had killed a Zebra and they were hovering about waiting there turn.

Good looking portrait Dumay, like the alert pose and placement within the frame. Detail & IQ is now getting too good. :bg3: If you a have applied NR then it looks spot on. :w3

Just a thought, have you considered it flipped ie looking right to left, so it is looking into frame rather than out? Also try Selective colour Red move black slider to say 30 and Yellow move black slider to say 40 (numbers may vary to taste) WDYT?

Nicely done. :5:5

Thanks Steve...I tried your suggestions moved red slider to +30 and then yellow to 18 as I felt more was too much, then felt the image went slightly darker so upped brightness by 5 points. Has a bit more punch now.
Glad to hear my sharpening and NR is getting better:S3:
How do you flip the image, never even tried it!

So you have your file open ready to go.

Now in PS go to the Tool bar above and go to Image > scroll down to Image Rotation > Flip canvas horizontal, job done, then re save if you wish and Save for Web. :w3

Flipped your reposted.

Dumay - I like everything about this. Colors, alert pose, comp (works facing either way for me), sharpness and detail all look good.
Well done. :cheers::cheers:

The alert pose from this beast is outstanding Dumay.... Detail, as always, excellent.. Left or right not sure that it makes a difference :e3

Nice young specimen Dumay, your repost looks good and it works for me rotated either way! :t3

Lovely image well captured, both the flipped and original work but i prefer the original as we generally see and read left to right so the image flows better for me that way:w3

Lovely image. Agree with Brendon on keeping the OP as far as whether to flip or not. Either way the animal is looking into the frame of the photo (irrespective of the page you are placing the image on), i.e. the bulk of the animal is to the left of the picture looking into the space. Only time I would consider flipping an image like this would be if you were publishing it on a double sided page. In that case I would keep the OP on the lhs of the left page, if it had to go on the rhs, then I would flip it. That's how I see it anyway! :w3 You're getting great IQ out of your 7D … very envious.
