Taken yesterday morning. It always seems even a slight breeze can be an issue for macro.

I do have a few a bit closer to fly but not really sharp, and I preferred this composition.
Cropped vertical from a horizontal and then a bit from right and bottom.

7D, 100 f/2.8 macro, 1/640, f/4, ISO400, manual Exp., tripod.

I Like the composition, colors and softness here! As a flower photographer, i think it conveys a delicate feelining. Love those out of focus flowers!

Hi Dave. This really conveys the feeling of a tiny-fly-in-a-big-world. I like the comp with diagonal stems in opposite corners - the OOF blossoms in the background work very well here. Overall, this is very nicely done.

Dave, I'm not into bugs but this is lovely, the softness and water colored pattern in the back ground adds nicely to this. A tiny bit more stem would be my preference. Love the color combo, nicely done.:S3:

Very nice Dave! I think the BG balances very nicely with the flower and bug. I've debated taking the brightness on the blooms and bug a few points....but all in all....this was very well done!

Thanks everyone. I am glad you liked it. It is good for me to finally start getting some shots that I can "see" and not yet photograph.

Very nicely done, Dave! The repetitive flower in the BG is framed perfectly and throws the eye right back to the diagonal fly sitting atop the other flower. Lovely to look at!
