I took this picture early in the morning before the dog walkers came to this marshy area.
I was there very early but it took more than an hour before the bird showed up.
The day before at night when I scouted the area and the light direction was bad, it showed up in five minutes. :S3:

Nice image of a very shy subject. Might try to tone down the bright reed in the BG as it draws the eye away from the bird.

Karl, good angled attentive pose, and I like the colours on the rail. Im ok with his enviroment, busy, but thats where he resides.

beautiful shot of a very shy bird. Bird is exposed beautifully. In a perfect world the OOF log or branch would not be there but this is reality! Well done Karl!
