This fly is only 2 mm long and was foraging on an ox-eye daisy flower. 5D II, MP-E 65 mm at 4X, 1/100, f/11, ISO 100, MT-24EX macro twin flash (diffused), hand held. These types of photos are challenging with this lens as the viewfinder becomes quite dark at 4X and you have less than 1 mm DOF to work with. I removed some bits of dirt and a few flash-generated spectral highlights from the flower. All comments are welcome and appreciated.

Nice to see all that in focus fg.

Fly looks good and photo is very well exposed with all that tough yellow.

I think photo would also work very well as a bit of pano crop and probably off the bottom.

Very well done to get such a tiny little critter in focus and sharp hh.

such a photo would be hard with all that yellow, but you caught it. Good contrast between the fly and the flower, and good dof well done. not sure about the pano idea. Might lose a lot of the flower and thus the setting of the shot.

Hey Steve,
I can't even imagine trying to HH that setup with the shallow DOF!!! Debated lightening the lowr body a point or 2......but great stuff as usual!

Real nice one, Steve! Cool looking fly and that ox-eye daisy flower really makes for an interesting perch/environment. Great details and exposure, and nice work at 4x!
