This is one more of my photos from Ft. DeSoto state park Fla..
He was eating crabs that were hiding in the pine straw, thus not paying much attention to me, allowing me to get close.
The sun was setting ,so i believe the lighting was good. I cropped to leave a good amount of space..(i.e. not too tight like the last posting )
I darkened the bg and lightly sharpened.
I don't know what more to do to make this image better , your help is so welcomed !

Clyde, there really isn't much I would do to change this image. I think you have a very nice capture and processing here. My only suggestions would be to raise the color temperature a little by adding blue to the midtones and cropping a bit from the top. A slight head turn or look in your direction would have sealed the deal. :c3:

Thank You Kerry! I will play with the colors as you said. I have around 10 of this bird at this location so maybe I will try a merge for the head also..?

I agree with Kerry, all the basics are well done but to me the light streaks in the BG are a little distracting, nice image.
