This fellow was spotted at Crandon Gardens looking for a landing strip. He was painted with a Nikon D200 and a Nikkor 18-200mm VR f/3.5 - f/5.6
focal length @ 200mm / exposure mode @ shutter priority / matrix metering / 1/750sec - f/9
exposure comp @ 0EV / ISO @ 320 / WB set to auto / AF mode set to AF-C / color mode sRGB / saturation factor @ 0 / hue adjustment @ 0 / no flash / no tripod /

Comments greatly appreciated...:D

You managed to do a good exposure job Gus considering the contrasty lighting. The image is sharp and DOF is good.

I would reduce the Blue sat on the BG and the red sat on the face. Other than fill flash not much you can do with the underwing darkness other than blend another image or a psuedo HDR.

Agree with Robert !!!! Flash could have helped at the distance you were shooting particularly lowering the ss for reach

Sure got a sharp head and nice looking wings Only the darker body detracts some !!!! Doing good Gus !!!
