Was after this species all morning this day. Did not quite get the angle I wanted on this but it was my best get of the male....

Looks great on this end Allen! Sharp and enough DOF yet shallow enough to allow for the sweet BG! Very nicely done!

Hi Allen. I agree with Roman - this is looking great with good sharpness, a double diagonal comp, and a very nice background. If this was mine, I'd be tempted to clone some of the specular highlights on the wings, but overall, this is very well done.

A really beautiful image and I like it very much indeed I think the composition and colours are excellent. The more I look at the body however I think it is not quite sharp - don't get me wrong I think it is a great shot but I cannot help but think the body lacks critical sharpness. Maybe I am being a little too critical - what do you think?

Hi Jonathan, yes, towards the end of the abdomen it starts to soften in focus....thus my comment about wanting a slightly different angle...but this was the best I could get of this species. Thank you for your comment.

I like the pose, DOF looks good for me. Nice dragonfly, sharp, well captured. Very good BG.
