This is a White-faced Duck touching down in the water at a local birding spot on saturday morning. Wow, it was cold there -2.5 deg C. I liked the full wingspread here.

Great pose and colors. IQ looks good and nice light. Looks like it could have a 1-2 degree CW rotation looking at the water level. But lets see if others think that:w3:S3:

Thanks mate. I based it on the reflections, but looking at the eyes, it could do with a tad of CW rotation.:w3

Stu, nice work here; I love the rich ocher on the breast and the black and white bands. Some immediacy, however, is lost by the angle. I know you've said before that in preserves in South Africa it's often prohibited to leave one's car; I'm wondering whether that was the case here.
