Jim:
This is quite nice, and since I have had essentially no luck with jays, appreciate it even more.
Sharp, nicely posed, interesting perch, and the little bump up in the middle reduces its bulk in the frame, a plus for me.
Nice background. I could see having just a sliver more room on top, but nice as posted. Good catchlight.
Any flash used here?
Cheers

Thanks for the comments and suggestion Randy. This image is natural light. The one area of the natural catchlight looks a little brighter.

Hi Jim, Ive only ever seen these Blue Jays from this site, and have always enjoyed the different hues of blue these guys have. Good stately pose, against a lovely clean BG. I would maybe selectively sharpen the head a touch more. The focus looks like it was on the back of the wing.

nice BG and pose, light and perch are great too. I agree with Stu regarding more sharpening on the head, it appears there was some motion blur given the shutter speed.

Great soft light and exposure with good detail. The bg is a killer. A super IMG !!!!
