I'm 2 days old and tired of chasing those bug things, chasing after mom, dodging those pesky attacking least terns and all of the stuff that my life has brought to me.

I need a rest in this early morning sunshine....

Jim, such a terrific image. perfect wing position :-) Loved the angle, setting, exp, sharpness and comp. shows the camouflage very well as well. Very well done. would have loved to see it bigger.

Very cute! I love the nestled pose inside that cup of sand. I wouldn't mind seeing either a slight boost in contrast, or a mild darkening of midtones. Very sweet...I like it alot!

He's adorable. I like you got him tucked in and resting.

Image looks a little dark overall from here.

Hmmmmm......doesn't look dark here? This is fairly darkish yellowy sand with some garnet sand mixed in so it is darker than a light colored beach sand.

Nice sleeping pose. I like the BGD and comp in this Jim.

Jim:

Adorable, nice techs, small in frame emphasizes his small size, little guy in a big world concept.

If time allowed, I might have done a few frames at a smaller f/stop, just to see how it effected the DOF. I would prefer the foreground to be just a touch more in focus. Normally I would crop out some of the OOF sand, but it would ruin the comp. in this image. Since your shooting angle was so low, I don't think the extra DOF would cause problems in the BG.

Very cute.

For me, this is a killer image as is, Jim. I think the OOF FG actually frames your image well. This is an adorable capture!

Adorable indeed ! Great sharp detail and IQ. Like soft light and colours. Subject is well exposed with good natural colours against a killer DOF. Well done !
