Good bird and nice habitat. I like the blue water at top. The harsh light did not help you here, and the IQ makes it look like a big crop? I've seen lots of images of this species from Mud Lake this year...are they tamer (or more habituated) than usual?

The exposure looks good even though the light was harsh. I do agree IQ may have suffered from a heavy crop. Nice detail in the bird.

Thanks Daniel. I saw 3 Night Herons that day. I am not sure they are tamer or not...I just wish they would get closer to me and pose for awhile...:S3:. This one was pretty funny to watch as it tried to get its balance on the lilly pads.

great angle and display of environment, I agree however that softness and harsh light have hurt this image.

Like the environment in this img Will sharpen the IMG a tad run a noise filter on the bg. Well done !:S3:
