Willet Landing

Sitting on the beach at Ft Desoto when I saw this Willet preening I knew if I waited he would do a little jump and landing when he was done.

40D, 500 f/4, 1/2000 at f/5, Manual Mode, Evaluative Metered, ISO 400, Tripod, cropped and cloned at a small rock.

It's great to know the behavior of birds. Very appealing clarity.
Had you considered tightening the crop from top and right?

Don, Nice pose and sharpness, I like the composition. Wish the head was turned just slightly-but that is only my personal preference. Ft. Desoto is a lovely beach and I wish I lived closer.:S3:

Lovely shot , for me just a tiny bit bright, I suspect the jpeg compression has just tipped it a little.
