Large crop about 50% & high ISO so I feel IQ is not totally up to scratch. I just find these little guys fascinating. They build floating nests that are sometimes not attached to anything and the parental care is priceless. The mother will carry the chick under her wings and on her back. Thats why I wanted to share this.

A two headed grebe :w3:w3 Great HA from the parent, and overall well exposed. I do like the overall colours and sharpness, and of course the youngster peeking out is priceless. Comp wise, I would maybe take at least half off the bottom, and some off the top too. An opportunity well used mate. How is the action lately? Time for another visit. :w3

Thanks guys...Reposted with revised crop. I was not sure how to crop this one. Stu, I hope this is what you you meant...Regarding the action, I was one leave this week, I went about 9 times and the action was really poor. Hope by next month it will be better.

This is lovely. The IQ is fine. I love the pose and the chick. I do wish that the baby's beak wasn't covered by mom's feathers but this is a very minor nit.

Great behavior captured; a wonderful shot. HA's are good, color lovely. IQ looks fine to me for 50% crop.
