One of my images from The Wave taken using an old fashion medium format rangefinder on old fashion fuji provia 100f film. :p

I do need to lighten the upper right corner a tad but I'm glad I did take the film camera with me albeit for one roll of 220.

Great looking well composed image Michael. My only nit would be the white wave strip at the bottom being to close to the edge.

Beautiful flowing lines and nice blue sky round out this wonderful image. Well seen and captured. Just curious...where is this located and how far did you have to hike to reach it?

Hi Michael,
Nit on bottom mentioned.......very glad you had some clouds on the day you went because it adds some interest to the sky. I've seen this many times but I don't get tired of it and yours is no exception. Very well done,
Roman

Gary this is in the Paria Canyon Vermillion Cliffs wilderness area. It is controlled by the BLM and a permit is needed. This hike to both waves was about 8 miles round trip at 5500 feet and a lot of climbing up dunes and flat rock.

the actual site of the wave is just South of the Utah / Az border. Nearest town is Big Water Utah or Page Arizona.

The hike for me was a bear esp. with the backpack. It's high desert and very dry so I packed close to 7 bottles of water which I chugged. Takes about 2-3 hours to make it from the parking area.

I really love this Michael...such a lovely scene with the swooping layers and the lovely blue sky. Fine job on the composition. I see so many opportunities here for close-ups and abstracts as well as these wide scenics...what a spot! One day I will meet this place. :)
