Stunning to see in the wild and pretty common in certain areas.
NR in Topaz, Levels and USM
Bit of work on LHS of branch, BG as shot

Hi Richard.
This is a very nice, well composed, colorful and sharp image of a beautiful bird. And the background is excellent.
If it were mine, I'd consider brightening the bird very cautiously. And I do wish that the foreground perch was a bit sharper.
But well done!

You did a great job getting the blue and the CYAN cap right. Yes, the protruding o-o-f part of the perch is a killer.... It is one of those rules that can rarely if ever be broken. Nice BKGR and head angle. BKGR sweet. You could opt to lose the vertical nub.....

Agree with Artie's nice critique. Did you run NR on the plumage? The feathers look a little too smooth IMO.

Going to rework this to eliminate that nasty wood
so I will look at the feather detail again then; probably used very light setting in Topaz DN5
