Made this image near a semi-frozen pond. The yellowish-white random patterns you see on the leaves (dead autumn leaves under water) are due to the sun-light refractions through a thin layer of ice above it.

Any suggestions to improve the image - welcome. Does it require some more sharpening...?
That apart, I am posting below a vertical view of the same image. Please let me know in your view as to which looks better of the two.

Nikon D70s + Nikkor 105mm VR micro.
f13, 1/60, ISO200, @105mm + tripod for support.

I like the vertical much more, good idea. I like the different patterns and textures. Its not a striking image but a subtle one.

Kaushik,

Nice job with the diagonal and seeing that the vertical was stronger. I like Robert's alternate vertical and more contrast. Seems to make the whole image click.

Hey Kaushik, I love abstracts like this. Great lines, patterns and color. I do prefer the vertical comp. Very well seen.
