Going through my last year shots for a good clean up of what I keep and what I don't,
here is one that reminded me of a peaceful moment in the field and quite some emotions when I took it.

My little winter princess...

I like this photo very much. You're right, it is peaceful and soft; a nice contrast to the cool colors and snow. The diagonal wood parallels the diagonal posture of the owl. Very artistic.

Jean-Daniel this is a very interesting behavioural image. Lovely composition and I like the blue BG.

Beautiful serene moment. One tiny nit would be the twig at his back. It looks uncomfortable. :-)

Great moment, perfectly captured.

Bravo! Great mood, exposure is perfect. If you could clone out some of the twigs, it would be perfect. Great job!

Welcome to BPN! Nice moment captured here. I like the interaction and the BG had nice colour. Looks slightly over sharpened here though. Really noticeable in the grass to his left.

Thank you all for the feedback.

I am not too hot about cloning but I will give it a thought. As for the over sharpening Judy, I am better in the print version than the Web version: the original print 12X18 print looks just right. I just don't get sharpening perfect for the Web prep. The shot was taken with a 5D and let me tell you that there are plenty of details :) (same for the shot used as my avatar)

For the background positive feedback, well let's just thank God for it and the snow storm that was preparing in the background.

regards and love,

JD
