Looking down river from the crest of Webster's Falls in the Spencer Gorge Wilderness Area in Hamilton, Ontario. Shot on the same day as my previous post "Tiffany Falls" - a drizzly, foggy day.

Adjustments: mostly S/H and a little Tonal Contrast to bring out some extra detail in the river.

What an interesting and unusual viewpoint. I love the texture and look of the moving water; you've kept the detail so well but also created a mood with the lines of flow from the slow shutter. Lots of nice diagonal lines through the image. I like this very much.

Andrew - a unique viewpoint that works very well. I like the silky look of the water from the slow ss and the way the river/stream winds through the photo. Well done.

Rachel

Hi Andrew, I feel you handled the image quite well. The downward view as shown is not a common viewpoint. Putting the breakline on a diagonal helps the composition alond with the detail in the water flow. My general starting point is about a1/4 sec speed for flowing water which often(not always) gives a soft yet detailed effect on water. Your 1/3rd sec captured that. The river down below is placed nicely and I like the "V" notch that is formed by the trees. Nicely done!

very interesting perspective indeed Andrew...how about toning down the overall green glow just a tad?

Thanks folks for the comments, very much appreciated! The green glow seems to be more pronounced in the jpeg than in the tiff, but do agree that some of the trees are a touch too green in this jpeg. Thanks again!

Works very well; i too would consider desaturating the green channel just a tad.
