This beautiful Bighorn Sheep startled my wife when it came up from the river bank below us. I was capturing some images of the six mature bachelors on a nearby ridge, but this one was definitely the "King of the Hill".

Image details:
Camera EOS 10D
Lens: 100-400 IS (400mm range)

Hi Jake,

Well done, esp. with a difficult exposure. For a more even look, you can create a Quck Mask of the back, mulitpy that layer only, and then reduce he opacity to taste. Love the pose, the look, and the background. Hate the larger credit line...

later and love, artie

Thanks for the feedback. The only way I can easily post to this site is from my website which uses the watermark to protect the images. Great for protection...not so great for viewing. I'll see about creating a smaller watermark for my web images.

A fine portait that is exposed very well with a real nice even BG. Nice detail in the ram as well. Well done!
