Taken last weekend with Denise and Artie. This is a bird I had never created an image of before.

Nice job! Love the ocean background. Wish for a little less head turn. Cool looking bird.

These guys are fun to photograph, glad you finally got your chance! I like the wet setting, and you did a good job with the blacks. The whites, however, could use some toning down...and perhaps as well as the legs. I would also have liked a bit more canvas at the bottom.

Looks like we are all serving up Oyster Catchers these days.

Very nice Neil, I really like the bubbly shore line in the image. :S3:

Hi Neil, nice catch on this one, and yes its OC day now :bg3: I agree a little more on the bottom would be a nice addition to this very nice image.

Like the pose and the see foam...Exp looks pretty good to me. A touch more space at the bottom would work nicely.

Thanks for the comments.
I agree on more space at the bottom. Guess it's time to learn how to extend canvas :e3

Lovely pose with the raised foot, and I like seeing the water line. Agree on a tad more space at the bottom if you have it. Blacks looks good but I would tone down the whites just a tad. Come down to Florida and you can photograph these every day. :c3:

Spent some time tonight working on adding canvas and also toned down the whites and legs with a burn. I probably could of found a easier image for my first at adding canvas, but I didn't think it came out all that bad???

Neil, you've done a good job to the whites, and the legs look perfect.

You've also added the right amount of space below...but just be careful with the repeating patterns here that betray the cloning job.
