Lots of fun to watch the young shore bird chicks explore their new territories. They remind me of little children who feel the need to check out everything they see.:2eyes2:

Hi Joe,

I like the idea of including the sand hill and the footprints as part of the composition, and you obviously got down to the birds' level, but to me there are a few issues - I think it would look better if the separation between foreground and background were higher or lower (rule of thirds, although I hate that expression) . Some of the grasses and bits of tree between the birds make it hard to sort out what's what, and to me the birds and the foreground sand look over-sharpened. Hope you don't mind these comments.

Richard

Joe, I agree about them being like children, they are :S3: sorta.

I cannot get enough of the new families at the park.

I agree with Richard, I feel there is too much sand dune in the image and the sticks between the birds really get in the way.

With that said this is a wonderful moment captured and the pose the one on the right is giving you is terrific!
