A beauty! Love the rich blacks, and I actually like the front bird's head angled away a bit as both birds' heads are angled slightly towards each other for a very intimate portrait.

Yes a real beauty... We have some Black swans in our local bird sanctuary.. only problem they are kept in a pond that doesn't get good evening or morning light.. love the deep sound they make.

Artie, I didn't really think about it and it's not relevant to this image. Generally speaking - when I take a photo of a bird on a perch doing nothing - then I would like it to look at me or in my direction. However, when I take a behaviour/interaction shot I would prefer that the birds either look at each other or their prey or whatever they are doing.
As I have said many times in the past - worrying too much about HA (head angle) is not my thing. An image works or it doesn't. It can have a "perfect" HA and still be boring and there are many amazing images with less than "perfect" HA.
