Shorebird food photos are always of interest. I think that I saw that sand crab!

Bird's head angled away leaves the eye looking dead and the merge of the crab with the seaweed was bad luck. SH with a good EXP. Looks a bit warm for such a high in the sky sun.

I agree with the foregoing comment that merger of the crab with the seaweed was bad luck. So clone the seaweed out! As for the head angle, the bird is after all getting a meal. You've captured interesting and expected bird behavior, and if the bird while going after its meal had turned its head toward you, it would have been weird.

Joe, It was nice to see you out there today. Nice capture and the warmth as Artie noted may be a tiny bit too much. The crab is a nice extra. I didn't even get a chance with these guys so your patience paid off.:S3:
