Photographing this AMOY family was a true joy, especially this particular morning when the light was great and the chicks were feeding. You can still see remnants of breakfast on the chick's beak. The chick is 3-1/2 weeks old here, and it's nice to see the comparison with the adult male at that age.

This capture won the Bird Watching division of the Florida Wildlife Magazine contest this year.

This is so nice!! Great light and colours and the 2 birds together is so lovely. The critical focus seems to be on the parent leaving the chick a bit soft but still a lovely image.

Congrats. I love the juxtaposition and the bold colors. The heads of both birds look to me as if they have been lightened a bit too much...

This is a very nice image showing the chick and adult parallel to each other.

You are absolutely right on the critical focus. I was remiss when I worked this one up at 1024 for BPN in not giving the chick another round of sharpening.

I just checked my file, Artie, and no heads were lightened or any of the photo for that matter. Maybe I could go a tad lighter on the entire photo.

Thank you everyone for your critiques and comments.
