Swainson's Hawk
Buteo swainsoni

Taken a few years ago Near Medicine Hat, Alberta. I did use the S/H tool to lighten the shadow on the female.

Nice catch, like the foliage in the background, it does make a good point of view of the specie in the habitat. I wish the bird on the left with a better HA...

Daren, yes, nice catch. I also like the foliage BG....makes a big difference IMO. excellent angle of the male.

Male looks sharp but hard to judge IQ at this size. 1024-pixels wide will be better for critiquing.

Composition wise, if mine, I'd have more room on the left( as the female is looking directly out of the frame on that side) and a little less on the right. This composition would have been perfect if it was just the male.

Cool! Ideally the shadow on the left bird wouldn't be there (I know, hard to avoid with this light angle - and I see you did lighten it) and I agree with KD's comp suggestion...but all-in-all a very nice image!! The foliage adds alot here.
