This scene was photographed while at RMNP last Fall. We were driving through the park looking for photo opps when we came upon this rather unique and dreamy scene. I am not sure that I did it justice, but it was a beautiful sight!

Canon 1D3, Canon 100-400L @ 150mm
F5.6, 1/400sec, ISO 400, manual mode
Hand held

C & C always welcomed and appreciated,

If this is the meadow I think it is you more than did it justice. I like the way the darker trees frame the lighter, winding meadow.

Marina,

You did it well - can post this in landscape to if you wish.

I like the look into the valley, the trees' colors act well to draw the eye into the image and to the elk as Steve mentioned.

Beautiful photo, the colors are outstanding, great processing and it is dreamy.
Very well done.
It could also be a winner in the Landscape section.

Love everything about this image, you have succeeded with the dreamy look and in my opinion have certainly done it justice.

this truly is very serene Marina!! love the autumn colours and the perfectly placed elks (wish one of them was standing up though! :w3)

I'm sure you have many compositions here seeing that you used the 100-400...how about showing us some other variations?

I will see what I have but I don't believe I have on with an elk standing. They never moved the entire time, and this capture was my favorite b/c I liked how the trees lead the eye into the story.
