Through reflective wings

Hello, got a chance to get out this morning and take a few. Michigan is finally starting to cooperate with the weather. This female RWBB was anxiously wanting to feed the young ones with both dragonflies. I wish the background was farther away. Ran Noise reduction on the background and a run of multiply to darken bright spots.

Nice framing job of the eye with the dragonfly wings. Although I have a similar shot, you did a better job lining up to show the birds eye.

Fill flash would have helped even out the illumination a bit.

Nicely scaled perch. Agree about the BG, but not an easy one to capture there.

Gary, I like how the eye peeks out between the wings of the dragonfly, and I like the pose. Comp wise, I would maybe take a bit off the top.

Gary, as noted above, that eye visible is a huge plus here. I like the BG. I think this can work as horizontal as well....if there is nothing distracting on the right side. A round of USM on the bird can make it better. Bird is a bit soft as presented.
