Spent some more time with the Burrowing Owls and capture this Owlet bowing down and thought it was a pretty cool behavior.

MK III, 500 f/4, 1/640 at f/8, Aperture Priority (the sun was coming in and out of clouds and since the BG was constant I knew I could trust the camera on aperture priority), Evaluative Metered +1, ISO 400, Tripod, Added canvas to the right side and cloned up some debris in the sand.

This is a tough one. While I like the pose, it does not work for me. Could you have gone any lower?
Exposure and BG are great in this shot.

Neat pose! I almost got a similar pose a few years ago but failed to keep focus on the head is it bowed forward:e3 I wish the face was lit, but understand the sun was not low enough. Careful with the cloning as I can see repeating patterns at left, and a smoothing of texture below the bird.

Thanks Daniel I need to redo those areas.

Very nice Don. I like the BG and the pose. I do see what Daniel has pointed out. These guys are fun to see and photograph.
