Fungi come in a variety of different forms - this one has a fern-like structure the spines of which bear the spore bearing fertile tissue.

Wow John, looks like an UW image of a bleached out soft coral. I have never seen anything like this before.

Soft coral was the first thing I though !!!! Striking image I like the contrast very much and that you were able to include it entirely !!! Great mood !!!

He John, great job on this one. The lighting is awesome and great details on this cool subject. We have alot of great bug shooters here, but its nice to see some great plant life shots like this.
